This genuine U.S. Army M-65 Field Jacket was manufactured by Sportsmaster Inc. under contract DSA 100-69-C-2454, dating it to 1969 during the Vietnam War era. Constructed from durable OG-107 nylon/cotton sateen, it includes the original removable quilted liner, zip-out hood, adjustable waist and hem drawcords, epaulets, storm flap, four front cargo pockets, Scovill snaps, functioning original metal front zipper, and Rapid hood zipper. An iconic military jacket that has become a staple in heritage workwear, military surplus, rugged outdoor, utility, and vintage streetwear fashion.
Condition:
Good vintage military condition with honest service wear consistent with age and use. All snaps, buttons, drawcords, and zippers function properly. The zip-out hood is in excellent condition and the original removable liner is included. The liner has pulls and loose stitching from use but no significant stains. There is an interior underarm seam separation that is not visible from the exterior, light marks throughout the shell, minor wear near one sleeve cuff, and a few interior reinforcement stitches from prior repairs. Overall, this is a complete, functional, and highly collectible Vietnam-era M-65 with attractive original patina. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
