Authentic mid‑century Shandon Headwear tartan wool tam, made in Cork, Ireland and styled after traditional Scottish Balmoral bonnets. Features a classic blue‑green‑red‑yellow‑white tartan, a red wool toorie on top, and a front Stocko snap that allows the brim to be worn up or down. Fully lined in brown satin with a dark green grosgrain interior band.
This is a well‑made, heritage wool cap from the 1950s–1970s souvenir and Celtic‑wear trade — not a modern reproduction.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with only minor age‑appropriate wear:
- No holes, tears, or exterior stains
- Wool shows very light pilling in a few areas (minimal and removable)
- Interior satin lining shows some discoloration from age

- Red toorie shows slight wear but is firmly attached and clean
